Decatur Social Club - rave, dance party - you name it
one of Atlanta's several night life events, and one of it's oldest, DSC started out in June '04 with absolutely no expectations of living past one season
From Girls Talk in 2006, to Belgium Riot in 2007, DSC set a standard for future alternative night life events throughout the ATL
featured in countless publications and blogs ( once again ) around the world, this dance party has gained a level of success pretty hard to come by !
but all dance parties and raves come and they go, and it's time that DSC become nothing more, really, than a memory. Perhaps one of the more influential reasons that DSC is shutting down is the fact that so many dance parties and similar night life events have sprung up throughout the ATL, such as
F**KYESSS and Afterlife, ASL and more recently Eastern Bloc, which spans across three different bars/pubs ( at the same time ) on Glenwood Avenue, all with a different taste in music and DJ-ing.
four years later, the last night will be on June 27
RIP DSC
